Forensic Toxicologist I / STEM Educator
Savannah is a Forensic Toxicologist on the NPS Discovery Team and a STEM Educator at the CFSRE. She first joined the organization in 2021 as a forensic chemistry mentor for the Forensic Sciences Mentoring Institute (FMI) Program and returned the following summer as the FMI Program Coordinator, a role she continues to hold. In this position, she oversees training for mentors across forensic disciplines, organizes the daily schedule for high school students, and coordinates guest speakers, off-site visits, and hands-on lab activities during the seven-week summer program.
Throughout the year, Savannah supports STEM education at the CFSRE by coordinating field trips and leading teaching initiatives. She also serves as the lead scientist for Forensics on the Fly, a program that brings interactive forensic science lessons into Philadelphia schools.
Alongside her work in education, Savannah contributes to the NPS Discovery Team as a toxicologist. Her research focuses on developing and validating new methods for detecting and quantifying toxicological samples and contributing to the development of a comprehensive drug database.
Savannah earned her Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science from Loyola University Chicago in 2022 and her Master of Science in Forensic Toxicology from Thomas Jefferson University in 2024.
