The Master of Science in Forensic Science (MSFS) degree program at Arcadia University (Glenside, PA) provides a high-quality forensic science education and incorporates training across several areas of forensic science, including forensic biology, forensic chemistry, forensic toxicology and trace evidence analysis. As part of this FEPAC-accredited program, students complete coursework in all four major areas of forensic science listed above. This generalist approach to graduate studies makes for a comprehensive educational experience and prepares students for a wider array of career opportunities in forensic disciplines. Since 2018, Thomas Jefferson University (TJU) and the CFSRE have partnered to offer a unique MS degree program in Forensic Biology (MSFB). Designated as a Professional Science Master’s (PSM), this specified program is designed to position students for advancement and professional development focused specifically to the field of forensic biology. Students partake in advanced coursework focused on serological testing, DNA analysis, mixture interpretation, and next generation profiling. The Master of Science in Forensic Toxicology (MSFT) degree program at Thomas Jefferson University (Philadelphia, PA) is designed to provide high quality forensic science education to those interested specifically in careers in forensic toxicology. This specified degree program includes coursework taught by renowned forensic toxicology professors and covers important aspects of pharmacology, analytical chemistry, toxicology, forensic investigations, and interpretation. This six-semester MS program is designated as a Professional Science Master’s (PSM) and requires completion of graduate level research and culminates in a guaranteed clerkship (internship) experience. The CFSRE offers advanced certificates focused on cannabis-related educational and training. These opportunities were developed in partnership with Thomas Jefferson University’s Institute of Emerging Health Professions and Lambert Center for the Study of Medicinal Cannabis & Hemp. The programs are designed to provide students with the knowledge in cannabis medicine, science, business, and policies, which may be aspects required to enter the cannabis industry, support patients, add to existing research and develop innovative cannabis business models.
