Chemist II
Mia started with the center in January of 2023. She graduated with her Master of Forensic Science and Law from Duquesne University. Post graduation she started at NMS labs (2018) in the Toxicology section processing biological samples. She then moved in 2019 to the NMS Willow Grove crime laboratory to work in the Drug Chemistry department. She was there working casework as a Forensic Chemist for four years before coming to the Center. She currently works on the drug chemistry team doing a variety of projects such as drug checking, toxic adulterants, and sentinel. She also is the point person for the drug chemistry section of the external internship program.
