Forensic Chemist I

Alyssa ReyesMacenzie recently graduated from Duquesne University with her Master’s in Forensic Science and Law this past May. During her time at Duquesne, she held multiple summer internships where she worked in both microbiology and toxicology labs. These experiences, along with her master’s research project where she developed a new method of detection for Kratom, are where she fell in love with forensic chemistry. Macenzie is currently part of the drug chemistry team, where she is involved in various projects at the center, including drug checking, sentinel, and toxic adulterants.
