Toxicologist I
Brianna Stang currently works at the CFSRE as a Forensic Toxicologist on the NPS Discovery Team. Her work primarily focuses on analyzing toxicological samples from research, clinical projects, and casework with a focus on detection of novel psychoactive substances. She qualitatively analyzes biological samples via LC-QTOF-MS. She assists in method development and validation for detecting and quantitating NPS via LC-QQQ-MS. Brianna also performs metabolic studies to help further characterize NPS. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Forensic Chemistry from Towson University in 2021, and her Master of Science in Forensic Science from University of Illinois at Chicago in 2023.
