What You'll Do

The Fredric Rieders Family Foundation (FRFF) and the Center for Forensic Science Research & Education (CFSRE) are on the lookout for a dynamic and driven Program Coordinator to join our NPS Discovery Program.   • Lead the Charge: Coordinate all aspects of the NPS Discovery program, ensuring seamless alignment with project goals and deliverables. You’ll have autonomy to alter plans and make recommendations for future projects, based on lessons learned from prior projects and program successes or shortcomings.
  • Progress Tracking: Track program progress, analyze data, and prepare reports to measure effectiveness, including grant and contract progress reports.
  • Financial Oversight: Assist with financial and operational aspects of grants and contracts, including billing preparation and review.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges that could impact the program.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain program documentation, including reports, presentations, and materials.
  • Digital Presence: Assist with website content development and social media postings to enhance CFSRE and NPS Discovery's online presence.
  • Logistics Management: Oversee program logistics, including event planning, collaborator management, and travel arrangements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Assist with program evaluation and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise participating members to ensure timely and accurate communication and documentation.


Who You'll Work With

As a Program Coordinator, you'll be at the heart of groundbreaking research and innovation. Working closely with a diverse and dynamic team, you'll partner with investigators, scientific leads, project managers, and other staff to ensure the seamless operation of our NPS Discovery program. In this pivotal role, you'll interact with external collaborators, clients, and team members, driving projects to meet ambitious timelines and goals. You will assist in uncovering exciting grant opportunities, spearheading grant applications, and expertly managing project contacts in collaboration with the Business Manager while overseeing vital program resources including staff, graduate assistants, samples, materials, and equipment.


Who You Are

You are a highly organized and meticulous professional with a passion for forensic science and research. Your excellent analytical and problem-solving skills enable you to navigate complex challenges and ensure the smooth operation of programs. You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe and have experience with project management software. You thrive in both independent and team settings, demonstrating strong communication and time management skills. Your ability to facilitate collaboration and maintain effective communication across several teams and stakeholders is one of your key strengths. You are adept at developing and maintaining program schedules, timelines, and budgets, and you have a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., project management, business administration, public health) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in program coordination or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously is strongly preferred.
  • Hands on knowledge of forensic science, chemistry, and/or scientific research is preferred.
  • Travel required
