Kempton Wilcox is a fifth-year undergraduate student at Delaware Valley University majoring in chemistry (2025). Beginning in his junior year, Kempton has been working as a Supplemental Instructor for general chemistry courses at Delaware Valley University. This position comprises of conducting engagement sessions with students to review and practice concepts including equilibrium, pH alterations, thermodynamics, and electrolysis and communicating with section professors of any suggestions to introducing future lecture material. Since spring 2023, Kempton has also been the laboratory assistant for multiple chemistry labs at Delaware Valley University. To ensure students have well-prepared laboratories for weekly experimentation, Kempton has performed tasks including reagent preparation, buffer standardization, and protein staining with column chromatographic purification. During off seasons from schooling, Kempton has attended multiple webinar events hosted by organizations including the International Institute of Justice and Police Sciences (IIJPS) and the Global Scientific Guild to gain a broader understanding as to the practices and research interests in different specialties of forensic science.
